While many web design companies believe that search engine optimisation is something to be done at the end of a web development project it should be a consideration throughout the entire web process from planning stages through to the site going live.

Search engine optimisation can be confusing as the exact formula the search engines use to decide which site will rank highly in searches is unknown. However, what I have found is that the highest ranking sites are those that:

• conform to W3C standards
• use keywords tags and good use keywords and phrases throughout a web page
• have search engine friendly page names
• use heading tags
• use title tags
• have alt tags on images

I will build your website to make it easy for search engines to find and read. I do this as a matter of course because I want as many people as possible to find your site. Some companies charge extra for this.
